These Beautiful Angels need Forever Families

First, I HAVE to share this information with everyone.  These children need loving forever families.  Truthfully, two of them are on my “list”.  But if you know me, you know I have a list that’s growing!!

The first:

This is copied directly from the Reece’s Rainbow site:

Brandon

Boy, Born April 17, 2003

Brandon is very active, happy, and relatively high functioning. He is attending preschool classes and lives in a group of children with a wide range of abilities. He has a very happy personality and loves attention from adults. He plays well with other children and participates in group activities. He is healthy and making progress in all areas of his development.

Brandon’s social worker so badly wants him to have a family. She believes that he will do very well in a family environment.

From a staff member that met Brandon in April 2010: Brandon was very friendly, active and sought out our attention. He was very affectionate and laughed and played with us the entire time we were visiting his group. Even though he wanted all of our attention, he allowed the other children to interact with us as well and did not show any signs of aggression toward the other children. The caregivers had nothing but good things to say about Brandon and his development and they are very hopeful that Brandon’s forever family will find him soon!

 This next beauty is

Lindsay from Orphanage 3

Girl, Born May 30, 2004

Lindsay is a beautiful girl who has endured much in her ilfe in this orphanage.   She was born with a secondary heart condition, although it may have rectified itself.  She is considered severely delayed, and is working on her walking, even as she is turning 6 years old.   This orphanage has a history of medicating the children, so she has spent much of her life in a crib, repressed….

Lindsay desperately needs a family who has experience adopting older children with special needs, and who has the time to give her to help her recover from this neglect and blossom into the child she is meant to be.

More photos available.  She is facing the institution very soon, and is blessed to still be at the baby house.    Someone please save her.

Carter #653 Boy, Born May 5, 2004 This sweet pea of a little boy is so cute! I love his little almond shaped eyes and reddish-brown hair! I bet he has a smile that can light up a room. Carter is healthy, with no heart or other medical complications from his Down syndrome. He will be a blessing for any family. He does have strong facial features of FAS (Fetal Alcohol Syndrome). Families considering Carter should research the effects of this condition as well as Down syndrome to assess their comfort level. he is very affectionate and loving!    He is facing the institution (a particularly bad one!) and needs a family quickly.   SINGLE MOMS, OLDER PARENTS, & LARGE FAMILIES WELCOME, EASY TRAVEL

I HAVE A 500 EURO AGENCY GRANT AVAILABLE   Last but certainly not least is little Shawna, ALSO from orphanage 3.  Orphanage 3 is very famous for DRUGGING these children to keep them sedated at all times.  Check out Adeye’s blog http://nogreaterjoymom.blogspot.com for more info on their adotions of little Hailee and Harper, both from 3.

Shawna (3)

Girl, Born March 2, 2004

Shawna has grown so much since her last photo!  She is walking now, very social and affectionate.   She has already turned 6 and is facing imminent institutionalization.  She is healthy, but is considered severely delayed.   PLEASE give Shawna a chance to be everything she can be, in a loving family who supports her and encourages her to grow and learn.

Shawna and Lindsay could be adopted together.

So there you have it…these beautiful children need someone to love them, hug them, feed them something other than porridge.  Fundraising is available folks, grants, projects, and let’s not forget the power of PRAYER!!
Please, if you do nothing else, please PRAY these little angels find their forever families.
I would also like to add, it’s okay to be weary of special needs…HOWEVER, remember to pray about it, God will lead you to the right direction…learn as much as you can about each need and you will know what is right for you and your family.  For the longest time, Dan and I would not consider a child with DS because we were being selfish with our empty nesting years.  Really?  These little loves need love and we want to travel with just the 2 of us?  How boring we now think life would be if it was just going to be the 2 of us!  God is on the move…and HE is magnificent!!
